FACILITATION

So much of facilitation is holding the right, generative space for “the thing” to be done, making the process easy, enjoyable, collaborative, creative, even juicy.

Similar to my coaching work with individuals, I facilitate groups and experiences by creating a safe space for folks to listen and learn from each other, to discuss their values and vision, and to explore and play together.  Coaxing clients to get out of their heads and into their bodies is the foundation of my approach. I support them to be fully present, attentive and engaged. Then, I listen and inquire, getting them to explore what’s at the core of the work or play they are doing together.

Often I work with groups over time to build connection and synergy,  practice collaboration, and learn to effectively embody equity and mobilize for change.

I am passionate about the transformative power of self and collective care. Along with facilitating meetings and retreats, I yearn to co-create 21st Century community rituals for healing,  transition,  and celebration, ceremonies that birth ideas and dreams and movements.

To build community requires vigilant awareness of the work we must continually do to undermine all the socialization that leads us to behave in ways that perpetuate domination.
